Arun Karle, the founder of Askara, is well recognized in the E&P Industry as a technocrat for his sincere passion and boundless enthusiasm to introduce fit for purpose technologies and solutions to make Upstream Activity in India safer, more efficient and effective, in the most economical manner. After earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from Mumbai University, Arun obtained his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lamar University in Texas, USA. Arun then joined Schlumberger Oil Services Company in Houston, TX, with whom he went on to work with for 22 years globally in several senior management positions. During this time, Arun also designed down-hole tools for which he holds several patents. It was in 1992 that Arun decided to take the entrepreneurial route and founded the Askara Group of Companies. Under his able leadership and with 45+ valuable years of experience, Askara has been extremely successful in providing business and technical consulting to over 30+ international companies. Arun was also a founding member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) South Central Asia Chapter, and has also served as vice-chairman from 2001 – 2005, and continues to be a very active member on the board. Rashmi Karle is a dynamic woman entrepreneur and has been the driving force behind the growth of Askara. Having graduated in Business from the University of Poona, Rashmi has been recognized as a role model for women in India. With 30+ years of Oil & Gas Industry experience in Human Resource Management, her excellent communication, organizational and managerial skills have been a valuable asset in ensuring that Askara, which she administratively helms with a firm yet compassionate hand, runs smoothly and efficiently, as a well-oiled enterprise. She has earned the reputation of getting things done where others have failed.

Kabir Lulla joined Askara in 2008 and today heads the Business Development function. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality / Management from the University of Southern New Hampshire, Kabir has contributed to Askara’s rapid growth through his effective communication, analytical and relationship building skills. In a relatively short period, he has gained the trust and technical expertise to closely work with clients from project conception to completion. He also ably manages the Sales & Marketing team, whom he motivates to overcome any challenge, through passion and perseverance. No job is big enough for Kabir to handle!

Sangeeta Karle has a Master of Science degree from John Hopkins University and has been fortunate to gain varied experiences as a manager, project leader and research scientist. Sangeeta’s greatest asset is her unique ability to be detail oriented yet holistic, which has enabled her to both micro and macro-manage several Askara verticals simultaneously. Despite having a medical background, Sangeeta’s keen desire to learn prompted her to dive deep into several ongoing Askara projects, which has today armed her with a vast amount of technical knowledge, comparable to the best in the Industry. As a result, no decisions at Askara are made without Sangeeta’s stamp of approval!

Madhura Karle is a Mechanical Engineer and Computer Science graduate from Texas A&M University. With fire in her young belly, she began her career in the Oil & Gas Industry in the R&D department of Sperry Sun, a Halliburton company and subsequently as a Project Manager with Shell in Houston, TX. At Shell, Madhura gained valuable insights into corporate processes and procedures and the technical nuances of the Oil & Gas Industry. Madhura’s education and professional experience today hold her in good stead to individually manage several key Askara projects. Sincerity, hard work and interpersonal skills are her hallmark.
